Review: Calle 13 Cafe – Bacoor City, Cavite
Calle 13 is a new mini cafe located in Tirona Hway, Mabolo 3, Bacoor City Cavite. If you’re wondering where exactly this is, it’s just a few steps across Samson funeral, Bermuda Subdivision, Patricia Executive Village, Something-to-Taco-Bout, Beatage Cafe, in Tirona Hi-way before reaching Binakayan Palengke if you’re coming from SM Bacoor.
What made us give it a try here? Simply because it’s so near from where we live. Hubby and I have been restaurant hopping and trying different food we haven’t tried from almost anywhere that basically requires travelling. Lately we realized, why not try something so near this time? Like this one. No need for us to ride anything, but just walk.
The cover photo is exactly how the cafe looks from the outside. The room was empty when we get there but their crews are welcoming and politely said “Pasok po kayo” with the smiles on their faces. It made me wonder how mini cafes like this survive when customers are so seldom.
As little as it looks from the outside, there were only like four set of tables inside. Vintage was the first thing that came into my head to describe their interior. So if your instagram theme is something vintagey, this is for you.
Written on chalk boards are their menu. We couldn’t eat everything since we weren’t really hungry and it’s our first time here, so we asked their crew what’s best on their menu. He couldn’t really answer but only said everything’s available except for the desserts. So, I don’t really know if he got my question right. So yeah, cool. We ended up getting Choco Lava, Cappucino ala 13 and Kare-kare Pasta.
While waiting, I took a stolen photo of my date and I’m so kilig. hihihi <3
**15 minutes later**
TADAAAAAAAAA! Our order finally arrived.
If I would rate them according to taste, it would be: 2/5 for the Kare-Kare Pasta (pasta sauce tastes good but beef tastes like it’s been soaked in water for so long) and 3.5/5 for both the Cappucino ala 13 and Choco Lava. Would we go back? Yes maybe, but we will probably try their Du13 wings and Ton’s Burger next time. We just have to make sure we’re hungry when we get back.
Happy Holidays, Creative Souls!
